LEADERSHIP
Kris Olson
Director & Founder
My name is Kris Olson and I am the founder and director of True North Girls Choir (TNGC). I graduated from Bethel University with a degree in music and have worked in the music field my entire adult life. I teach private piano to students of all ages; I have also worked in the church for many years as well as in the theater community. In college I served as student conductor for the top choir at Bethel and have directed many choirs and musical groups since then both within and outside the church. In short, music brings me great joy; providing others with the opportunity to experience that same joy is what I love to do.
For many years I have had the vision of creating a choir that would give young girls the opportunity to be part of an elite musical group that not only performs together but also serves together; a group that would create friendships, develop character, encourage spiritual growth and inspire servanthood.
Music is a universal language; music combined with faith is an eternal language that can have great impact on those who perform as well as those who hear. It is my hope that whatever music True North Girls Choir sings and wherever we perform, that those who hear will experience joy and inspiration and will see God’s love in all that we do.
